Part 3 of 3: Job Jackets and Project Files
Page 15
Click OK to close the Layout Properties dialog box, then choose Utilities > Job Jackets Manager and review the left pane.
A new job ticket appears in the Movie Campaign job jacket, and it is linked to a project (the asterisk indicates that the project file needs to be saved).

Click Save to close the Job Jackets Manager, and close the open project without saving.
Attaching a Ticket Template to an Existing Project
If you are already building a project file when you receive a job jacket (say, from your output provider or art director), you can attach an existing project to a ticket template by choosing File > Job Jackets > Link Project.

The Link Project dialog box is virtually the same as the New Project from Ticket dialog box, and it has all of the same options:
- Browse to find a job jacket that isn't already listed.
- Select a job jacket to attach your project to the jacket's default ticket template.
- Select a specific ticket template to attach to your project.
- Uncheck the Share Jacket check box to embed a copy of the job jacket and ticket into the project file you're building.
Note: You can also use this method to attach your project
to a different ticket template.
When you click Attach in the Link Project dialog box, you will see a message confirming that the project is now attached to the jacket you selected (or to the jacket of the ticket template you selected).
Modifying the Job Ticket
If you attach a layout to an existing project, you have to modify the job-ticket layout settings before you can evaluate the layouts in the project. Choosing File > Job Jackets > Edit Ticket opens the Edit Job Ticket dialog box from the Job Jackets Manager Basic Settings mode.
In the Layout Settings tab, the layouts from your existing project are listed by name; you have to attach jacket and ticket resources to those layouts if you want to evaluate them against the job-jacket settings.

This step is not (theoretically) necessary if you create a project from a ticket, since (again, theoretically) the rule sets, output specifications, and other attributes should have already been defined for layouts created by a job ticket. If they were not, you can always open the Edit Job Ticket dialog box and make changes to the layout settings, or open the Job Jackets Manager in Advanced Settings mode and make the changes there.
