Click Open to import the style settings from the selected job-jacket file.
Click Character Style Sheets in the list of resources.
Resource items that were imported from the selected job-jacket file are listed in the Available window. (This Available/Included interface should be familiar if you use the Append dialog box.)
Style settings are listed by individual category (Character Style Sheets, Paragraph Style Sheets, etc.). You have to include items from each category separately.
Click the Include All button under the Available list to add all imported character style sheets into the AVProduction job jacket.
Display the Paragraph Style Sheets resources. Click Include All to add all imported paragraph style sheets into the AVProduction job jacket.
Repeat Step 23 for Colors.
In the Colors tab, some items will already appear in the Included list; those colors are used in style sheets that you already included, so they are included automatically as nested assets.
Display the Tickets tab of the Edit Job Jacket dialog box.
Select Default Job Ticket in the list and click the Edit button.
In the resulting Edit Job Ticket dialog box, display the Style Settings tab.
Click Colors in the list of resources, and choose Current Job Jacket in the Append From menu.
Four colors (Black, White, Issue Accent, and Issue Feature) are listed as Available. These are the colors that you included in the job jacket in Step 24.
Click the Include All button to include all four colors in the ticket template.
Unless a resource is included in the ticket template, it will not be available in the layout you create or attach.

Display the Layout Settings tab of the Edit Job Ticket dialog box.
Click the + button to add a new layout to the ticket template.
Click the arrow to the left of Layout Properties (near the bottom) to view the options for this layout.
Type "Poster" in the Layout Name field.
Choose Print in the Medium Type menu.
When you choose Print, the other options (relative only to print layouts) become available.
Choose 4c Poster in the Layout Specs menu.
Click Output Specifications in the Resources list. Select "CMYK Web output spec" in the list and click the right-arrow button to include it in the layout.
Click Rule Sets in the Resources list. Click Graphics checks in the Available list and include it in the layout.
Because you opened a job jacket that was provided to you, you can access the advanced settings that were already created in the job jacket.

Click OK to close the Edit Job Ticket dialog box, and click OK again to close the Edit Job Jacket dialog box. Click Save to close the Job Jackets Manager.
Continue to the next section.
Even though this is considered the "advanced" mode, we actually find it more straightforward than the Basic Settings mode because almost all resources and options are available in a single dialog box. You don't have to navigate multiple nested dialog boxes to add or edit job jackets or ticket templates.
The only thing you can't do in Advanced Settings mode is change the shared status of a job jacket; but other options are available for controlling this setting.
To complete the exercises in this file, you should download the resource files from www.againsttheclock.com/downloads. The resource file archive includes the ATC fonts (for both Macintosh and Windows), which you should install and activate before completing these exercises.
